Ο πρόεδρος της Γαλλίας Εμανουέλ Μακρόν δήλωσε σήμερα, ενόψει της άτυπης συνόδου κορυφής στις Βερσαλλίες, ότι οι χώρες της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης θα πρέπει να συμφωνήσουν τον ρυθμό με τον οποίο θα απεξαρτηθούν από τα ρωσικά ορυκτά καύσιμα.
Για το αίτημα της Ουκρανίας να ενταχθεί με «ταχείες διαδικασίες» στην ΕΕ, ο Γάλλος πρόεδρος, είπε ότι πιστεύει πως είναι «μη ρεαλιστικό» να ξεκινήσουν ενταξιακές διαπραγματεύσεις με μια χώρα που βρίσκεται σε εμπόλεμη κατάσταση.
Ο Μακρόν πρόσθεσε ότι δεν βλέπει να υπάρχει μια διπλωματική λύση στον πόλεμο τις επόμενες ώρες ή ημέρες. «Η Ευρώπη άλλαξε υπό την επίδραση της πανδημίας και θα αλλάξει γρηγορότερα και ισχυρότερα, λόγω του πολέμου», τόνισε. «Ο πόλεμος στην Ουκρανία θα οδηγήσει τους “27” να λάβουν ιστορικές αποφάσεις για να επανακαθορίσουν πλήρως την αρχιτεκτονική της Ευρώπης μας», πρόσθεσε, ευχόμενος να ληφθούν αποφάσεις για τον ενεργειακό τομέα και ίσως για τη γεωργία μέχρι τα τέλη Μαρτίου.
Θα πρέπει όμως να ληφθούν και «αποφάσεις σε ό,τι αφορά την άμυνα», σε μια έκτακτη σύνοδο κορυφής που θα οργανωθεί για το θέμα αυτό πιθανότατα τον Μάιο, είπε
